About us

Bluestone Archaeology is a not-for-profit, community interest company (CIC) founded in 2015. It is run by four directors: Steve Baldwin, Robert Bolt, Darren Bentham and Dr Allan Baldwin. We are based at Towngate Works in the village of Mawdesley, Lancashire, United Kingdom.

Our mission is to enable, and guide, the local community in investigating their local heritage and archaeology. We fund this through grants, donations and surplus from commercial archaeological projects.
